    • no activities
    • lots of tent only, #27, #29-39, excluding 33 & 34
  • Lake Kissimmee State Park
  • Manatee Springs State Park Campground
    • Loop HICK tent only
    • 2.25 hrs north of clearwater
    • 20 mins from Chiefland Astronomy's Observing Field
    • walking/bicycling trails
    • Rental canoes available at the park concession
    • fishing, (Suwannee River) bass, sunfish and catfish

Didn't look too bad

  • O'Leno State Park, 2.75hr north of clearwater, lots of trees
    • Not many activities
  • Silver Lake Campground
  • Big Buck Camp

  • Hog Island Recreation Area, Campground & Kayak Launch (maybe not family friendly)

  • Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park

    • no canoe entals
    • 2:45 north of clearwatere
    • loop turk tent only, ok
  • Myakka River State Park
    • 1.5hrs south of clearwater
    • loop OP might be ok, 100% RV/Tent
    • might be activities Myakka Outpost
  • Little Manatee River State Park
    • no canoe entals
    • no pics of tent-only sites
    • 1 hr away from clearwater
    • Loop LMRE tent only
